Voice-Chatting is the use of a headset or mic to communicate with other players both in game and in the lobby.

Overview

Since most methods of in-game communication are limited to typing, some players find themselves incapable of working together efficiently. As such, many "veteran" players opt for using other, more efficient types of talking; namely, voice-chatting. With voice-chat, players can easily communicate with their teammates and work together much more efficiently, to achieve some greater goal.

Voice chatting is probably the best weapon a team can use. In Cabin Fever, voice chat will help the survivors a LOT, because players simply cannot survive on their own.

Types of Voice-Chatting

There are many ways to voice-chat, but the main (and only) way to voice chat officially in the game is to use Vivox. Vivox is already integrated into Combat Arms, so players can talk by merely pressing T and talking into their microphone. However, more "hard-core" players use programs like Ventrilo or Teamspeak, among other things.
