The HK UMP (Heckler & Koch Universal Machine Pistol) is a GP Standard Sub Machine Gun.

OverviewEdit

The UMP strays from the common characteristics of submachine guns by having a significantly lower rate of fire, but in turn has a far higher damage count per round. This high damage can kill in approximately 3 shots at an optimal range of 20 meters. A patch in October—which may have been a response to calls for balancing—raised the recoil rating, which had dropped its popularity for a short period of time. Nevertheless, the UMP continues to have a large following due to having one of the highest damage ratings for a compact primary weapon.

• The real UMP carries only 25 rounds per standard magazine.
• This weapon was once offered as a Default Weapon Change. As of the 2-3-10 Patch, Default Weapon Changes have been removed from the Black Market and are no longer available.
• The UMP LE, statistically equivalent, was available for permanent duration during the Best of 2010 Sale, at a price of 100,000 GP.
  • It was once again available for permanent duration during the NeX-Mas Sale, at a price of 70,000 GP. Like other LE weapons, it cannot be forged at the Gun Emporium.
• All silencers on the UMP share a slightly different model than the standard suppresors. The S1 Suppressor on the PP-19 Mod is actually a UMP S1 Suppressor, both sharing the characteristic "bulged ring"on the barrel connecting end of the suppressor. Though it is hard to notice on the UMP because of the short barrel and bulky front.
