The Charger, also known as the "Exploding Infected," is a reoccurring enemy in both Cabin Fever and Black Lung.
It is one of the Infected, and often appears alongside the Mauler.
Appearance[]
Chargers are male with a pack of dynamite strapped to its chest. They have grey skin and short-cropped hair like Host Infected.
Overview[]
Chargers are the most aggressive of the Infected, willing to charge straight at players and overwhelm them with sheer numbers. Their strength lies in the explosions they cause upon death, which can cause severe injuries.
Because of their tendency to rush, they are often at the front lines of an incoming horde. It is best to eliminate the Chargers first, out of all the Infected, and before they can get close enough to explode.
Trivia[]
- Unlike its face, the Charger's wrists are still normal in coloration. This is because the Charge reuses the same model as the terrorist enemies from other Fireteam modes.
- Combat Arms: Zombies contains a variant of the Charger known as the Monster Charger. This Charger is bald and has a bloody face.
- In cutscenes, Chargers are seen without their bomb vests.
