Kill Death Ratio
Comments8this wiki

Added by SoldierMSKDR is by no means an accurate measure of a player's skill. Low KDR's can be the result of team-killing or that the player is having a "bad day". Novice players that have low KDR's sometimes turn into deadly killing machines that have high KDR's a match, but are plagued by the deaths they had when they were a Noob.
To Calculate KDR
Edit
Take your total number of kills and divide by your total number of deaths.
- Where k = total kills and d = total deaths
For example, a person with 18 kills and 7 deaths would have a KDR of 2.57, because 18 รท 7 = 2.57.
KDR Usage
Edit
A player's KDR may also be used catch hackers. Usually a KDR between than 3.5 to 5 should arouse suspicion, but anything above that should be raising red flags. Although it is not abnormal for campers to have this high of a KDR. WARNING: A low rank with a KDR high then 3 might be a hacker be careful check to see if his HS ratio is higher than 50% that is a sign that a hacker might be in your game.
However, this is now all but useless ever since the mass KDR reset of January '11. Even players with a KDR higher than 5 could no longer be put under scrutiny or suspicion, leaving everyone as a possible suspect. Instead, players now turn to Fireteam Combos (especially DT), which cannot be reset and may easily prove that someone is a hacker in most circumstances.
Trivia
Edit
- Papa is the only server in Combat Arms that does not affect your KDR. Therefore whoever plays in this server, their deaths/kills are not recorded (this includes Fireteam. A player's Fireteam combo does not appear in your KDR page).
- Foxtrot is the only server that has a required KDR to enter (1.0 or under).
- Most players judge each other by their KDRs. So if you have a low KDR, you would be considered a noob.
- Most clans needs a certain required KDR in order for a player to join.
