Overview

The M249 Para is an NX Standard submachine gun. With an outward appearance of a Machine Gun, it leaves its original categorization by replacing its 100-round box magazine for a standard 30-round one similar to those used in M4A1's and M16A3's; it also stripped itself of stereotypical machine gun stats by becoming much more lighter and controllable. That said, the Para utilizes a Submachine Gun characteristic much like the UMP45: a lower fire rate than most submachine guns, but compensates with outstanding stopping power and fast reload.

Trivia

This is actually classified by Nexon as a Sub-Machine Gun, much against the fact that the real-life version is a newer generation of the MINIMI, sharing its overall bulkiness and heaviness.
This gun is rather large looking in first-person, but the game developers may have intentionally resized its scale to make it actually quite small in third-person viewing, as opposed to the MP7 MOD, to make it more SMG-like.
In game, the M249 Para is actually based off of an ECHO1 M249 airsoft weapon. This is evidenced by the ECHO1 logo on the side of the gun, near the rear sight.
