A replica of the WWII-era German Fallschirmjägergewehr 42, this firearm became the model weapon for paratroopers. It's unique construction pushes the center of gravity closer to the user, offering better controllability during burst and automatic firing.

The Fallschirmjägergewehr 42 is a Forged Weapon made from the AUG A1 and 7 Replica Pallets.

The FG42 was a selective-fire rifle developed by the Luftwaffe as a specialist weapon for German paratroopers during World War II. Compared to the AUG A1, the FG42 has a 3 points higher damage rating, but has a 1 point increase in recoil and 4 points lower rate of fire, as well as the loss of the AUG's telescopic scope and burst fire function. Its other features includes a unique reload animation as the magazine is inserted in the side of the gun, and a noticeably quick spread recovery when fired. All in all, it is a balance weapon that boasts high damage and high accuracy, but as it cannot accommodate a scope attachment, it cannot fully utilize these features in long ranged firefights.
