The Clan Cap is a hat that was released in the 4-28-10 patch. This hat has no rank requirement, as long as you have a Clan, and it is at least Level 2. If you have a Clan Emblem, it will show on your cap. The Clan Cap gives a Sprint Stamina boost of 15%, and a 5% Headshot Protection.

The major advantage of this hat is its Stamina boost. Since it has no rank requirement, it can be a great alternative of the Black Beret, since the Black Beret requires a high rank.
The Clan Cap is commonly used by moderately-ranked players, especially in Quarantine matches, as the user can outrun the Infected for a little longer with it on. (This cap gives you approximately 4-5 more seconds of sprint time.)
Although showing a 5% Headshot Protection. It has been proven that it does not affect the rate of headshots a player receives. This is the same with many other headshot protection armors which offer headshot protection (In Example: IBH) but do not give any help at all. Therefore, if you planned to purchase the Clan Cap in hope of receiving headshot protection, it is thoroughly advised for you to NOT waste your GP on it.
Note that like the Black Beret, the Clan Cap is useful for sprinting long distances. If you prefer speed, however, then you should opt out for a Military or Cyclops Bandana.
Trivia[]
- Like any other Clan item, players can purchase the clan cap, leave their clan, and still retain the item. The only difference would be the absence of a clan emblem.
