Major FactionsEdit

These are the primary factions of Combat Arms.

United Alliance ForcesEdit

The United Alliance Forces(or UAF) are the fictional "Protagonists" of Combat Arms. They are an independent international military organization dedicated to preventing and stopping terrorism.

The UAF are mostly portrayed by Alpha Team, who's base of operations is usually a makeshift area with some sort of disadvantage. The UAF are in charge of the "imminent destruction" of all terrorist or militant efforts, and they may use C4's to carry out their missions. During the original NEMEXIS outbreaks, the UAF Special Forces were in charge of the termination of any, if all, Infected personnel.

Notable UAF members are:

Former UAF members are:

WarCorpEdit

WarCorp (short for "War Corporation") is a fictional company who represents the "Antagonists" of Combat Arms. They are a worldwide military group who hire out Mercenaries from all over the world. Independent of any single government or nation, WarCorp is responsible for many terrorist attacks and atrocities. At one point, they were allied with NEMEXIS.

WarCorp is usually portrayed by Bravo Team, who's base of operations is a heavily fortified, structurally advantageous area. The polar opposite of the UAF, WarCorp is usually in charge of defending their base of operations; taking out any if all UAF Forces, and defusing any active C4's in their base.

Notable WarCorp members are:

  • Mostly Mercenaries, including:
  1. Hana
  2. Baron
  3. Rocco, etc.
  • Colonel Coleman

NEMEXIS Corp.Edit

The NEMEXIS Corporation is a mysterious, individual organization who specializes in military supplies as well as bio-warfare. As an independent company, NEMEXIS may be called upon to support a certain faction, and they may aid whoever they see as the most profitable.

NEMEXIS is widely known for their responsibility over the NEMEXIS Outbreaks (thus the name), and the initial release of The Infection.

Though they do not personally appear in game, they are behind the creation of the many weapons and gear that the Player may use. It has also been proven that they have their own Mercenaries (similar to the UAF/WarCorp), and that they will do anything to secure their own credibility.

Minor Factions Edit

These are the lesser-known factions of Combat Arms.

The InfectedEdit

(See here for more information)

The Infected are the twisted remnants of living human beings. "Accidentally" bio-engineered by NEMEXIS, the Infected are an extremely dangerous and overwhelming force.

The Mogadishu's Army Edit

The Sand Hog is a military group in Mogadishu. They were responsible for breaking the U.N. treaty, thus forcing the UAF to deal with the problem. After the events of Desert Thunder, they apparently shot down a helicopter to search for technology or classified information useful for them. The UAF responded and yet again dealt a blow to the Sand Hog.

The Guerilla Army Edit

The Guerrilla Army is a military group and the antagonists of the Insurgence Arc. They were first encountered prior to Operation: Grave Digger, and were soon forced to lodge there. After being ousted from their temporary base-of-operations, they retreated to freeway, thus resulting Operation: Roadkill. Not wanting to dirty their hands with them any longer, the UAF tried to finish them off by initiating a bombing run. It is currently unknown whether there were any survivors, but there are some hints that some of the militants survived.

The UAF Double AgentsEdit

The UAF Double Agents are undercover agents working for an unknown source. They were sent as a special UAF reconnaissance squad (as undercover UAF members) to the remains of Operation:Overdose after the battle of LAB 3 to secure any samples of the bio-contaminant. Once there, the double agents revealed themselves and viciously attacked the UAF forces, forcing them to retreat. Battered, but not beatened, the UAF devised a plan and fought back, causing the latter to retreat instead.

However, they managed to escape with a viable sample of the Infection. Unfortunately, the sample also lured a horde of Infected towards them, until they were surrounded and forced to hole up in a remote area far away. There, they fended off the Infected in a long, grueling battle before Evac (courtesy of Colonel Coleman) finally arrived to retrieve them.

Unfortunately, one of the surviving members of the team was Infected, causing a disturbance on-board the helicopter. Their fate is currently unknown.

The Chinatown UnitsEdit

The Chinatown Units are the smugglers from Operation: Showdown. The UAF were sent in to eliminate them, and the onslaught that followed destroyed the nearby area.

The South American RebelsEdit

The South American Rebels are the enemies that are encountered during the Wilderness Arc. Apparently, they have ties to the Guerilla Army, and may go as far as being a branch of their troops.

TriviaEdit

  • None of these factions have their own set of rankings, though the UAF/WarCorp seem to partially follow the same system as the US.
  • The UAF may be based on the United Nations Forces, NATO, and individual private armies.
